Building TradeQuest on Your Bourse Trade Server

Your Bourse Trade Server has been selected as the trading platform backend for TradeQuest, TQ Labs’ engagement platform for brokers, proprietary trading firms and their traders.

Through TradeQuest, TQ Labs helps brokers and prop firms address a challenge that continues after client acquisition: keeping traders active and engaged. The platform adds competition, skill development and community features around the trading account, giving traders additional ways to participate beyond individual trades.

TQ Labs describes TradeQuest as the first-ever Trading MMO (massively multiplayer online game), bringing the shared, competitive structure of an MMO into an environment built around real trading activity.

Your Bourse Trade Server supports that model through its API-first architecture, connecting the engagement experience to the live trading environment while brokers and prop firms continue using their existing trading infrastructure.

Creating new ways to engage traders

Participating brokers and prop firms join the TradeQuest network as guilds. Traders can connect an account to a TradeQuest identity, known as a TQID, take part in challenges, develop skill-based profiles and compare their performance through leaderboards.

This gives trading activity a wider role within the client experience. Activity can contribute to challenges, rankings and other forms of participation around the broker or prop firm’s brand, while traders can choose whether to make their TradeQuest profile public or keep it private.

For operators, the model can be introduced in different ways. Firms can run competitions through TradeQuest or incorporate leaderboard functionality into their own digital channels. They can also begin with a dedicated challenge or pilot group, assess how clients respond and expand access more broadly over time.

This allows brokers and prop firms to introduce additional interaction around the trading account without replacing the trading environment already in place.

As Reid Fenech, Co-Founder and CEO of TQ Labs, explains:

“We see a culture shift starting in retail trading. As new generations of traders come online, it will become increasingly important for brokers and prop firms to capture attention and innovate. That generation wants to compete publicly and build social status.

Gamification layers on top of trading systems help brands with engagement and retention by giving traders a reason to come back, and can help traders through systems tied to performance that reinforce good behaviour and penalise bad behaviour. That’s why we’re building TradeQuest.”

The infrastructure behind the experience

Your Bourse provides the trading infrastructure behind the TradeQuest model.

Your Bourse Trade Server’s API-first architecture and open connectivity allow TradeQuest to connect its engagement features to the live trading environment, while Your Bourse Trade Server continues to support execution and account operations underneath.

That connection means the capacity and availability of the underlying trading platform are directly relevant to the TradeQuest experience. As more traders participate, the infrastructure needs to continue processing the account activity on which TradeQuest depends.

Your Bourse Trade Server supports more than 500,000 order operations per second on a single CPU, providing the processing capacity required as activity increases. Its 99.999% SLA supports the availability needed for an engagement model connected to ongoing trading activity.

This setup allows TQ Labs to focus on developing the TradeQuest experience while brokers and prop firms keep the infrastructure responsible for their trading operations in place.

“What makes TradeQuest particularly interesting is that it brings a new engagement layer to trading without asking brokers to reinvent their underlying infrastructure. Traders can compete, progress and interact around their real trading activity, while the broker retains the execution, account management and operational capabilities of Trade Server underneath. We’re excited to provide TQ Labs with the open, high-performance infrastructure they need to turn this concept into something brokers and prop firms can deploy and scale,” said Kate Rutkovskaya, Chief Revenue Officer at Your Bourse.

Beyond TradeQuest

The relationship between TQ Labs and Your Bourse also extends to TQ Labs’ wider technology offering for brokers and prop firms.

TQ Labs is developing full-stack white-label technology built exclusively on Your Bourse infrastructure, alongside branded copy and social trading systems compatible with Your Bourse Trade Server.

Using the same underlying trading infrastructure across these products gives TQ Labs a consistent foundation for its wider technology offering while developing different client-facing experiences for brokers and prop firms.

TradeQuest is currently live in early access, with TQ Labs onboarding brokers and prop firms for its pilot launch.
